FORMER SOC PATRIOTS PLAY COLLEGE FOOTBALL!

The SOC Patriots strive to enrich our young players with a quality football experience as well as enthusiasm and love of the game. Many of our players take their Patriot experience and continue on to play high school as well as college football.

We are proud to announce the following former SOC Patriot players and cheerleaders have continued on to participate at the college level:

Class of 2013

Johnny Stanton, Santa Margarita, committed to Nebraska

Johnny Stanton, former South Orange County Patriot and current Santa Margarita Quarterback, has been awarded a member of the “ESPN Elite 11”, which places him in the top 11 High School Quarterbacks in the country! 

Robert Clemons, Laguna Beach High School, committed to Yale

The SOC Patriots want to congratulate him for his outstanding achievements and wish him the best of luck this season and next! 


Class of 2012

Kyle Bauer, WR, 6’-2”, 185 lbs, San Juan Capistrano, University of Redlands

Former SOC Patriot and OCJAAF scholarship award winner - Kyle Bauer - has committed to the University of Redlands this fall. Kyle had enormous success as a stellar wide receiver for the San Juan Hills High School Stallions with numerous awards and accolades including second All League his junior year. 

We know that Kyle will be just as successful for Redlands as he was for the SOC Patriots and San Juan Hills High School. We wish him the absolute best and we know we will see a lot more of him on the fields!


Class of 2011

Trent Mason, QB/DB, 6’-3”, 205 lbs, Dana Point, signs with South Dakota State

Former SOC Patriots standout and versatile Dana Hills High School quarterback and defensive back Trent Mason committed to South Dakota State as an outside linebacker. 

The South Dakota State Jackrabbits are part of the competitive FCS Missouri Valley Conference. We know that Mason will be a standout for the Jackrabbits and we wish him the best at South Dakota State!

Joseph Kimpler, RB/DB, 5’-11”, 200 lbs, Laguna Niguel, University of Maryland

Honored by the National Football Foundation Hall of Fame as a scholar athlete and three time All Trinity League player, former SOC Patriot Joseph Kimpler has exemplified what our scholar athletes are all about. His star has shined at JSerra these past four years in both football and lacrosse as well as academics. Joseph was highly recruited by college scouts for both sports and decided to play lacrosse for the University of Maryland. We wish him the best of luck as a Terrapin we know he will continue to impress.


Class of 2010

Brandon Howe, RB/DB, 6’-2”, 208 lbs, San Juan Capistrano, Cal Poly San Luis Obispo

Former SOC Patriot, Brandon Howe, had quite the successful high school experience at Dana Hills.  As team captain and MVP, he rushed for 752 yards and recorded 83 tackles!  He made first-team All-South Coast League and second-team All-Orange County as a defensive back and earned multiple academic awards. The SOC Patriots are proud to see a former player excel both on and off the field and we wish him best of luck at Cal Poly San Luis Obispo!

Nicholas Kaspar, OL, 6’-5”, 270 lbs, Dana Point, San Jose State

A two-time All-South Coast League choice from Dana Hills High, former SOC Patriot, Nicholas Kaspar, impressed college scouts with his strength and skills as an offensive lineman.  As a three-sport-letterman, Nick also threw the shot put for the track and field team and played varsity basketball for four years.  The SOC Patriots are proud of Nick’s accomplishments and we wish him best of luck at San Jose State!

Roxane Jarvis, Cheerleader, Laguna Niguel, Arizona State

After a competitive 2-day tryout, former SOC Patriot Cheerleader Roxane Jarvis has been picked to cheer for the Arizona State Sun Devils. Roxane was a member of the Dana Hills High Cheer Squad for four years and varsity captain her senior year. We are looking forward to seeing Roxane cheer on the Sun Devils at next season's home football and basketball games. Way to go Roxane!

Class of 2009

Dylan Denso, WR, 6’-2”, 205 lbs, Dana Point, San Diego State

Dylan was a three time letterman for Dana Hills High School as well as team captain his senior year. As a first All-Team All-League player he was recruited and plays for San Diego State. We know he will continue to stand out and shine at San Diego State and we wish him the best!

Anthony Kaspar, DT, 6’-1”, 260 lbs, Dana Point, UC Davis

Anthony had a stellar high school football experience at Dana Hills High School and took his skills to University of California Davis where he is sure to shine. The SOC Patriots are proud of Anthony and we wish him continued success in all he does!

Sean Schroeder, QB, 6’-3”, 185 lbs, Laguna Niguel, Duke University

As a three year letterman at DHHS, Sean was listed as the 29th best quarterback in the nation by ESPN.com. He was All South Coast League with All League honors and a two year team captain as well as establishing game, season & career passing records during his time at Dana Hills High School. The SOC Patriots are sure Sean will have many more notable seasons at Duke University and wish him the best!


Class of 2008

Ross Cumming, LB, 6’-1”, 230 lbs, Rancho Santa Margarita, USC

Ross hails from Laguna Niguel and had quite an impressive high school football career at Santa Margarita Catholic High School and the Naval Academy Prep School. After an injury sidelined him from the Naval Academy Prep School, he focused his sights on USC and worked hard on his recovery and football skills. He made it on the USC team as a walk on and continued as a key player earning him a scholarship in 2010 and accolades for his incredible work ethic. Ross exemplifies what the SOC Patriot spirit is all about...work hard, train hard, play hard. We are proud of Ross and know he will continue with his success!

Logan Harrell, DT, 6’-2”, 275 lbs, Rancho Santa Margarita, Fresno State

Logan was so impressive in a battle for starting spot at defensive tackle at Fresno State that he played in twelve games and earned considerable Division I experience with a great future in the college program. This former SOC Patriot went to Santa Margarita Catholic High School where he set the record for most career tackles by a defensive lineman and was selected on the Junior All-State team, the All-Trinity League team and the Orange County Defensive team. We know he will continue to impress and we wish him the best!

Nicole Ontiveros, OUTFIELDER, 5’-6”, Laguna Niguel, Princeton

After cheerleading for the SOC Patriots, Nicole went on to a successful softball career at Santa Margarita Catholic High School and Princeton University. She has won many academic and athletic awards during her high school and college years as a starting outfielder including second team All-Ivy League in 2011 at Princeton. We love that Nicole has shined both on and off the field and we couldn't be prouder of our former SOC Patriot cheerleader!

Taylor Patton, S, 6’-1”, 195 lbs, San Clemente, Northern Arizona

Named first team All-League and Triton of the Year, Taylor had 80 tackles while rushing for six touchdowns during his senior year at San Clemente High School. He was a three-time Circle of Champions award winner and tied the school record for most career sacks. His skills gained the attention of Northern Arizona where he plays today. The SOC Patriots are proud of Taylor and we wish him the best!

Jonathan Warzeka, WR, 5’-9”, 175 lbs, Lake Elsinore, Airforce Academy

Jonathan was a three year letterman in high school and a National Football Foundation inductee from Riverside County. As a three-time All League and All County defensive back, he led the team in passing, rushing, touchdowns and quarterback sacks. He took his skills to the Airforce Academy where he has shined as a receiver and on special teams. In fact, during the Airforce Bowl Jonathan had a 100 yard kick off return for a touchdown and made ESPN's Sports Center top ten list for best bowl plays of the season.  Airforce went on to beat Houston 47-20. We are very proud of Jonathan and wish him continued success and luck in all he does!


Class of 2007

Talmadge Jackson, RB, 5’-10”, 182 lbs, Murrieta, Oregon

Talmadge is a big contributor to the Oregon program as a running back and receiver. With numerous touchdowns and carries, he is a standout for the Ducks. After the SOC Patriots, Talmadge played for Chaparral High School in Temecula and impressed many college scouts with his talents. We couldn't be happier for Talmadge and wish him the absolute best!

Ryan Maxwell, WR, 5’-8”, 180 lbs, Rancho Santa Margarita, Colorado

As a three year letterman at Santa Margarita Catholic High School, Ryan set 11 school records and earned All State, All South Coast League, All Orange County and All Trinity League honors as a wide receiver. Ryan continued his football achievements with the Colorado Buffaloes and the SOC Patriots wish Ryan even more success!

Matt Meyer, S, 5’-9”, 195 lbs, Laguna Niguel, Colorado

As a team captain his senior year at Santa Margarita Catholic High School, Matt earned second team All Conference honors as a cornerback. Matt took his football prowess to the Colorado Buffaloes as a strong safety for the team. The SOC Patriots are happy for Matt and wish him success!

Class of 2006

Chane Moline, FB, 6’-0”, 247 lbs, Mission Viejo, UCLA

Chane played all four years for UCLA at fullback as a starter and big time contributor. In 2009 he led the team with six touchdowns scored, tied for fourth with 29 receptions and was the offensive winner of the UCLA Hentry R. Red Sanders Award for Most Valuable Player. He's carried the ball for UCLA in numerous bowl games and was a powerhouse for the club. Chane started football with the SOC Patriots and earned many accolades and awards playing for Mission Viejo High as the 4th ranked fullback in the nation by ESPN.com. We couldn't be happier for Chane's outstanding achievements and we wish him continued success!

Grant Schartz, WR, 6’-0”, 210 lbs, Dana Hills, Ohio State

Grant was an all-purpose stand out at Dana Hills High School and set an amazing 15 school records. He continued to stand out with the Ohio State Buckeyes on special teams. The SOC Patriots are proud of Grant's successes and we wish him the best!


Class of 2005

Chase Moline, DT, 6’-2”, 260 lbs, Mission Viejo, UCLA

Chase was selected as Freshman All-America first team by Rivals.com and Scout.com in 2005. He was recruited by UCLA and saw a lot of action as a defensive tackle. He played all four years with UCLA and was a huge contributor to the club. Before college, he helped Mission Viejo High School capture the CIF championship as the only two-way starter on the #1 ranked team in California. He and his brother Chane played for the SOC Patriots and we are thrilled they have excelled with their football talents!
