Last year, the South Orange County Patriots registered over 225 football players and cheerleaders for the 2008 season. These scholar athletes received 21 weeks of hands on training in the fundamentals of football and cheerleading. Of equal importance, these future leaders of our community received an invaluable opportunity to develop teamwork, social and leadership skills.

Each year, providing such an experience for our kids is a formidable project, one that must be implemented solely with the funds generated by the SOC Patriots through registration fees, sponsorships, fundraisers and sales of Patriots Spiritwear and food sales at the snack bar. This can only be accomplished by relying 100% upon volunteers to plan, organize and manage the organization.

Our kids rely on us to contribute our time and experience as coaches, board members, snack bar staff, fundraisers, event coordinators, Team Moms and many more important positions. It takes a collective effort to provide this great experience for our kids.

For the 2009 season, please pledge a donation of your time and expertise to helping your child and other kids from SOC Patriots. Whether you have an hour a week or an hour a month, we could use your help. Here are just a few ways that you can become involved:

The annual meeting for the 2008 Patriots will be held Thursday December 4th. Please come to discuss the year in review and meet the new board members for the 2009 season. 

The location is at Dana Hills High School, room 110, (it is around back) at 6:30pm

Equipment turn in is scheduled at the new shed on Stonehill behind Dana Hills High School, next to the baseball field.

As a reminder, please ensure that you bring back your complete set of equipment that you signed for or you will be billed for the missing components. All jerseys must be returned as well with the name placard removed from the back of the jersey. 

We will not be allowing the purchaes of jerseys or helmets this year due to the expense.

We have had a professional photographer taking pictures at home games throught the 2008 season. All 4x6 photos are only $1.25 and the chapter gets money back at the end of the year based on our purchases.
