Here are some frequently asked questions for your assistance:

 

When does practice begin? - July 28th. It is M-F, maximum 2 hours a day until school starts, then 3 days a week and games on Saturdays.

How long is the season? Games start in September, playoffs in November, and usually the Super Bowl is the first week after Thanksgiving.

Do the kids have to tryout? - Our governing body (OCJAAF) sets a limit of 33 kids on any team.  As long as we are below that number, we do not cut.  In the event that we have more than 33 kids sign-up, and there are more than 33 left after 3 weeks of practice – we may need to cut some kids to remain in OCJAAF compliance.  

How are the kids put on teams? - It is determined by age and weight.

How many are on a team?- Minimum of 18, maximum of 33.

Does everyone get to play? Yes, at every level.

Is equipment included? - Yes, and the kids are responsible for their own cleats and jock straps.

Are football camps available? -Yes, SOC will have a camp and we will share information on other camps being offered in the area. Keep checking the website.

Where are the home games played? - At Dana Hills High School, on the beautifully maintained, artificial turf stadium field.

Is there travel involved? -Yes, depending on your teams schedule. It is usually a split between home and away games.

Are there any mandatory fundraisers/raffles? - No, but sponsorships are greatly appreciated.  

Are they any volunteer requirements? - Yes, there are many ways to help out with your team and/or the SOC Patriot organization.  We rely on our volunteers to make this youth organization a success. You may buyout of the volunteer requirement.
